Vision Boards – Do They Really Work?

Vision Boards – Do They Really Work?

So what the heck is a vision board and why would you use it? If you’ve ever seen the hit movie The Secret you know exactly what I’m talking about.

A vision board is a collage of pictures and images of things in your life you want to accomplish or acquire. Anything from a materialistic item like a house or a car, to a certain body type or charitable contribution.

A vision board is meant for all areas of your life. Career, financial, spirituality, relationships, physical health, mental health, and contribution. Start to find images or pictures of all area’s of your life to have a complete vision. A vision for your life that is so crystal clear you’re able to have pictures on your vision board of everything you want to create and acquire.

1. The Law Of Attraction

One thing I know for sure is that the Law of Attraction is ALWAYS working! Vision boards really kick the LOA into high gear. When you focus on images of things you want in your life you start to attract those exact things into your life. So if it’s a specific car you intend on driving, you’ll begin to see that car everywhere! Not only that, you’ll begin to meet people and be presented with opportunities to earn the income you need to purchase that car.

The law of attraction is also known as the Law Of Resonance. Whatever energy you resonate with, it will resonate with you. Like attracts like. Vision boards work because you start to focus on what you want in your life compared to what you don’t.

2. Emotion Makes It Happen

Emotion is the key when manifesting anything! Why vision boards are so powerful is because it stirs up a lot of emotion in your soul. It’s the excitement and energy surrounding achieving those goals and accomplishing something that means a lot to you.

If you break up the word Emotion it stands for “energy in motion”. Vision boards work because you’re creating so much emotion simply by looking at a visual representation of what you want to acquire. There’s a gap, from where you are currently in your life and you want to fill that gap. The more emotion you surround yourself with, the faster you’ll fill that gap.

Emotion is the Fuel you need to propel your life’s goals and dreams into actions. I’ve spoke with so many people that have manifested amazing accomplishments through their vision boards. One major common factor between everyone is that they all had a Deep, Passionate sense of emotion for what they wanted to achieve.

3. Your Brain Is Very Literal

Whatever you think about most you will become. When I first heard this I was 14. I was so afraid I’d turn into a girl….just kidding!

However it is true. Yours and mine brain is EXTREMELY literal. If you say, I think my headache is going away, your brain is focusing on your headache! All kinds of chemicals get released into our bodies with the rush of an emotion. When you focus on not having a headache, the chemicals in your body of experiencing a headache get released into your blood stream. This is why it’s so critically important to focus on what you do want.

Our brains are AMAZING tools and the most advanced piece of software you’ll ever experience. It will also take direct orders at a moments notice without questing your will. You can literally change the way you feel and think in a blink of an eye. That’s why people can see and feel a difference in themselves just by looking at their vision board. Those chemicals get released within seconds of viewing those pictures that create such joyful feelings.

Visual representations of what we desire are absolutely PERFECT for speeding up the time it takes you to manifest your goals. Why do you ask?   This is how our brains view the physical world. Our brains literally see pictures on the screens on our mind one image at a time. That is why bombarding your brain with visual images such as a vision board allows your brain to seek out and find matches in the physical world.

4. Creating Your Future

It’s pretty hard be upset about where you’re currently at when you have a clear vision about where you’re headed. Vision boards are an excellent way to get EXCITED about your future! Most people look at their current results and say this is what I have, so this is what I can do. A vision board or a dream board is just that. It’s all about dreaming what you TRULY want to accomplish in your life.

Don’t allow yourself to get stuck with your current life results. That is an effect of what you’ve been thinking and doing for about the past couple weeks. Start to create your future with your vision board. Lay everything out that you truly want to accomplish within the next few days, months, or years. Anything is possible to achieve in your life, allow yourself to DREAM BIG!

A vision board works because it gets you to stop thinking about what is, and allows you to think what can be. That’s why so many people have been able to shift their lives (including me) simply by starting with a dream. You don’t have to wait for someone to change the future for you…..you already possess that power right now.

5. Faith Is the Absence Of Fact

Without faith what do you need…the facts. If you don’t have the facts then most people head towards fear. After creating a vision board a common attribute among many speedy manifestors is absolute faith. Whatever your higher faith is you must truly TRUST that your goals, ambitions, and desires are already starting to manifest. This is absolutely KEY!

It comes from a sense of knowing. Being able to release the intention without expecting or waiting for something based on your timeline. Everything happens in the most perfect order and harmony on time every time. It is absolutely beautiful! The key is to remember to have total trust and faith and continue to move forward with the right action steps.

Noticed I said action? Yes it’s critically important to remember a vision board is just the start, you still must take the actions towards what you want in your life. There will be so many more opportunities and circumstances presented to you BUT you have to take the action of jumping on those opportunities. Yes it can be scary, but have faith and it will all unfold beautifully.

Looking forward to hearing your thought on this one!

Yours in Mastery,

I wouldn't be where I am today without a vision. I think this quote from Abraham sums it up nicely

“Your ability to imagine will help the next logical steps come to you faster. Work the bugs out in your imagination. You don't have to build little things and bigger things. You can do it all in your mind. We're not talking about the next logical action step. Use your imagination until your big dream feels so familiar that the manifestation is the next logical step.”

So Yes Ryan, I do use visions to empower myself. I find that 'easy does it' is an appropriate phrase for after all we are not Human Doings – we are Human Beings :)

lol, love that, Human Beings, Not Human Doings.

That's an excellent quote. What are you creating yourself? I'm sure (just as myself) you've become a much different person than your where 5 years ago.

Thanks for sharing, keep in touch. ;)

    Great post Ryan.
Love what you were saying about the emotions. They are so the key and I know for me, every time I was trying to manifest something and it did not work, I know that I did not have the emotion into it. When the emotion is there, it's there.
That is my experience anyways. :)

    Hey Steven,

For sure, emotions are the key! I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I used to get wrapped up in going through a daily routine of visualizing without any emotion. I used to think, HEY! Why is nothing happening!!

It's all about building the ENERGY and GETTING EXCITED about life and your dreams!

Always a pleasure to connect Steven!

#2 is the most important part of the process. I think this is the one thing that makes everything possible.

everyone’s number one goal in life should be to always feel good now.

Ryan, I look at tons a blogs per day and even before I was a blogger, into social media, or an internet marketer, etc. I was always into writing. At the age of 20 I became Chief Editor for an inspired online magazine; if that gives you an idea for my writing abilities. What is this leading up to?: Your writing is excellent, bro. You have this awesome way of painting the entire picture from a perspective I know I can relate to all so well.

About The Law of Attraction, I actually have my first vision board project in the midst, laying on the floor here in my office at the moment, and I’ve been thinking, “What ways have The Law of Attraction already helped manifest certain things into my life” – I could come up with countless numbers of nominal situations, some would put off as pure coincidence in which I consider to be The Law of Attraction at work. Its beautiful like you say and I am a Christian. I still firmly believe in this awesome power of like energy. Just the matter of us connecting now online for the first time, makes me wonder, “What did I THINK to make this happen possibly 1 month, 2 months, 6 months or even 1 year ago?” … that’s a little of my input. When you give value you get value. Keep up the great work, brotha man and get in touch! I signed up for your RSS feed.
