<p>I want to share with you the secret how to turn your leads into actual Distributors for your primary business. The heart of your business all consists around your following of people on your list. You&#8217;d be surprised to know it&#8217;s not the size of your list&#8230;but the way that you communicate to that list.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the deal, I am not an ultra smooth network marketer, nor am I super smart. I&#8217;ve just taken the knowledge of other highly successful people inside this industry and applied it.</p>
<p>To be totally honest, <span style="text-decoration: underline;">I really struggled</span> with online marketing for the first 6-7 months. I mean I literally sucked&#8230;..really bad.</p>
<p>I never had a challenge bringing leads in. However, I had a <strong>Major Problem</strong> getting people into my business. My biggest challenge is that I never really knew how to communicate with my list properly.</p>

<p>What I suggest is taking a couple of those email headlines (you can even use them as your blog posts) and start testing them out to see your response.</p>
<p>If you focus on providing value while knowing HOW to speak to your list, you&#8217;ll be well on your way to having more people enroll into your business and generating more affiliate income sales too.</p>

<p>I read once that over 60% of how we communicate is through body language. Pretty crazy right? Body language and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is something that I truly love. It&#8217;s INSANE the amount of things we do on a daily basis with our bodies that we&#8217;re not even aware of!</p>

<p>I personally apply these techniques to read people on a DAILY basis. It&#8217;s CRAZY!! Trust me, once you&#8217;re awareness is peaked with these techniques you&#8217;ll NEVER go back.</p>

A few days then weeks go by and the people that you thought would benefit from your opportunity did the exact opposite. You know what? Happens everyday, treat it like water of a ducks back. <p>The other day I had an interesting experience and I wanted to share with you!</p>
<p>I was speaking with a friend inside his home here in Vancouver, Canada. He has a very nice house that he just purchased last year for several million. Huge ceilings, massive living rooms, and on suites off all the bedrooms. Basically it is a beautiful home.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the thing&#8230;.</p>
<p>Even though he has achieved a great deal of financial success, he (for some reason) still felt compelled to impress me. He was sharing stories about trips, vacations, all these people he knows, and guess what? Almost every time he shared a story with me he was either lying, or was stretching the truth.</p>
<p>How do I know? Simply by his body language. That right there is HUGE my friends.</p>
<p>He must have rubbed, swiped, or touched his nose or the back of his head at least a half dozen times. Even though he is a GREAT guy, he felt compelled to stretch the truth just for the sake of making things sound more exciting.<br />
<strong><br />
Let&#8217;s Understand What Happened With My Friend&#8230;.</strong></p>
<p>Unfortunately he wasn&#8217;t being totally truthful with me. He had a case of what I call &#8220;Nose-Rubbing.&#8221; By slightly rubbing his nose he was looking for a way to calm his nerves. There is a reaction in our brains that happens when we lie or exaggerate and causes us to experience wanting to touch our nose without us being consciously aware of it. It&#8217;s human behavior, and unless your are totally truthful, it&#8217;s going to happen to you too.</p>
<p>Now, in this case with my friend he could have been nervous for this to happen too, however we&#8217;ve known each other for quite a while and I highly doubt he was feeling nervous around me!</p>
<p>Pretty powerful to think about right? Your facial expressions, gestures, head movements, eye contact, and posture all communicate, either congruently or incongruent. If you&#8217;re in Network Marketing or you own a small business, you simply must understand others body language because it will give you a slight edge in your market place.</p>
<p><strong>A Second Example For You&#8230;.</strong></p>
<p>The other day I had a business meeting with five people. There was two guys that were interested in our business model and wanted to discover how they could get involved. It was an absolutely beautiful sunny day and I was really looking forward to this meeting. We all met up at the our head office and started the conversation inside the lobby.</p>
<p>After the typical meet and great, handshakes and small talk, what did these guys decide to do? They both decided to cross their arms as we began speaking about our business model.</p>
<p>What does this tell me?</p>
<p>This tells me that they are feeling uncomfortable and closed off. Whenever someone crosses their arms and holds their body tight, what they are actually saying is that, &#8220;I&#8217;m holding myself because I am feeling uncomfortable with this environment and want to let myself know it is OK.&#8221; In a nutshell, people close themselves off because they are uncomfortable.</p>
<p>In a situation like this, it&#8217;s important to understand what your prospects behaviour is telling you. In this case, the arms crossed let me know I need to match them for just a few seconds. I also crossed my arms while conversing with them. Once they started open up, I began to use several NLP (Neuro Lingistic Programming) Techniques to help them&#8221;open up&#8221; and feel more comfortable.</p>
<p>At this point everything was great! We were laughing, making jokes, and really having an awesome time connecting and doing business. More importantly, from that point on they felt comfortable with me and never crossed their arms again.</p>
<p>There are so many techniques that I can help you with and I&#8217;ll be sure to post something up that will have more detail in you all want.</p>

<p>Do you know how most people have a set criteria of ways to communicate with others? I&#8217;m sure you can relate! Usually we interact by using the same words, standing in the same positions, and conversing with the same subjects.</p>
<p>Why is this not effective when building rapport with new prospects?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s rather simple, everyone is different! We all process information differently, whether it be visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. If you&#8217;re not communicating with others in the same way THEY communicate then you&#8217;re actually breaking rapport and you&#8217;ll slowly lose the persons interest.</p>
<p>In order to build rapport fast with integrity we must first understand the importance of quickly accessing the others persons body language and language patterns. This is rather simple and will come natural with practice.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what I can share with you, professionals have trained themselves to mirror other people&#8217;s behavior when they first meet. This is how you build rapport quickly, and then you can raise others up to the level you would them to be.</p>

Below you can see a few examples I gave in helping to build rapport and find out HOW your prospect actually processes information. This is KEY everyone!</p>
<p><strong>Here are a few examples of ways to match language patterns:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Match the tone of voice your prospect is using</li>
<li>Find similar words to use</li>
<li>Speak at the same speed that your prospect is speaking</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Here are a few examples of ways to match body language:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Match how the person is standing / sitting</li>
<li>If they have crossed arms, cross yours</li>
<li>If they are extremely visual (using their hand to speak, use yours)</li>
<li>If they are touchy feely (do the same..don&#8217;t get too close!)</li>
<li>You can even match facial expressions too</li>
</ul>
<p>Once you start to feel comfortable with your prospect (and they feel comfortable with you), then you can begin to raise their vibration and really take the conversation to the next level! That is TRUE rapport building my friends!</p>
<p>When you practice these techniques and become excellent at this over time, I guarantee you&#8217;ll be building rapport FASTER and EASIER than ever before.</p>

<p>Every single day we know we are guaranteed to experience connecting with another human being.The question becomes, are we actually effective at communicating, or are we just on auto-pilot reacting to situations?</p>
<p>There is a great saying I learned a few years back that goes like this;<em> &#8220;2% of the population thinks, 3% think they think, and 95% of the population would rather die than think!&#8221;</em> Scary to think about, when you think about it.</p>
<p>Most people are simply on auto-pilot. If you think that 96-98% of our daily perceptions and behaviors are unconscious, then most people are truly <em>reacting</em>&#8230;.not thinking.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve created a list of five simple <a href="http://www.ryanyokome.com/marketing-secrets/5-communication-techniques-jump-start-business/" target="_blank">Communication Techniques</a> that I have personally found extremely effective when used in business, or everyday life. These techniques are Extremely powerful when applied correctly and will have a MASSIVE impact on your results in business and life.</p>
<p>If we are ALL going to live on this beautiful blue planet together, we mind as well learn the skill-sets to effectively communicate with others. I&#8217;ve found it makes life A LOT more enjoyable when we can communicate in ways that are beneficial for both parties.</p>
<p>So let&#8217;s jump right into it!</p>
<p><strong>1. Listen</strong></p>
<p>What a concept, huh? Quite often <em>we hear with our ears, but we listen with our emotions</em>. The very fist step to becoming an excellent communicator is to listen to the other person. When most people are communicating with others they are usually thinking of what they are going to say back, as the individual is speaking to them.</p>
<p>Highly successful entrepreneurs and business owners have crafted their skills to become excellent listeners. If you are not Fully listening and absorbing the information (with full attention) to the other person, how do you think it makes them feel? My guess, not too good. I&#8217;ve had that happen to me and I&#8217;d be surprised if you didn&#8217;t either!</p>
<p>Listen to what others are sharing with you, there is a lot of hidden messages inside even one sentence.</p>
<p><strong>2. Who ,What, How Specifically </strong></p>
<p>Have your family members, significant other, or close friends ever said to you; &#8220;I&#8217;m heading out now, I&#8217;ll be back later!&#8221; Isn&#8217;t that a fairly broad statement? What does <em>later</em> mean? Becoming clear and concise when communicating with others will surely help you FULLY understand what the other persons intentions are. In this case, as simple question like, &#8220;I was wondering when specifically do you think you&#8217;ll be home&#8221; could gain clarity and avoid and argument at the end of that evening!</p>
<p>The same rule applies to your business. You have to understand your clients needs and wants first. If a client is not interested in your product or service there is an underlying reason. The question becomes, what is that reason? The key is to ask high quality questions.&#8221;Do you mind sharing with me what specifically you concerns have?&#8221; See how that opens up and helps you understand more information to guide your prospect down the path of education? In most cases the communication is too vague and potential clients are left feeling confused and uneducated of the possibilities.</p>
<p><strong>3. By the way&#8230;..</strong><strong><img class="size-full wp-image-688 alignright" style="margin-left: 4px; margin-right: 4px;" title="beyond h2o 1" src="http://www.ryanyokome.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/beyond-h2o-1.jpg" alt="beyond h2o 1" width="275" height="182" /></strong></p>
<p>One of THE MOST powerful communication techniques I apply on a daily basis is the phrase&#8230;..&#8221;by the way.&#8221; By the way, how do you use it? hehe.</p>
<p>It a great phrase that GRABS people&#8217;s attention and keeps it there. At the end of your sentence you can easily slide this phrase in at any point in time. Let me help you with an example.&#8221;Our company is growing extremely quickly, there has been a tremendous increase in our quarterly revenue&#8230;..by the way, have you had a chance to see our numbers yet?&#8221; You see how it puts a slight break in the sentence? Just enough to bring people&#8217;s FULL attention and focus back to what you&#8217;re communicating.</p>
<p>When you get used to applying this phrase, you can literally incorporate into so many different areas of your communicating. I&#8217;ve found it effective to say the phrase &#8220;by the way&#8221; fairly quickly before your statement. Pronounce it as though it&#8217;s a <em>filler statement</em> before your <em>actual statement.</em></p>
<p><strong>4. Because </strong></p>
<p>If you understand anything about the brain then you&#8217;d probably know that by about the age of five we are pretty much &#8220;Hard Wired&#8221; to communicate and act with the world based on our previous fives years of gathering information. Some people even say but the age of 13 we are VERY rigid with our beliefs and so most people are simply 13 year olds walking around in bodies that are our current age!</p>
<p>If we go back to our subconscious controlling 96-98% of our perceptions and behaviors what does that mean? When you were a child and wanted to play with something that you shouldn&#8217;t be, what did you parent tell you? &#8220;Stop playing with that!&#8221; You of course would likely respond with &#8220;why?&#8221; Your parent simple response (and may be more detailed) would be &#8220;because I told you so.&#8221; Think about that for a second&#8230;.</p>
<p>Because is a word that we relate to an authority figure. When you take one second and use the word &#8220;because&#8221;, it makes the person who is listening to you go, &#8220;Oh, I better stop what I&#8217;m doing and pay attention!&#8221; It&#8217;s a VERY powerful word that again, grabs peoples attention and subconsciously gets them to focus in on what you&#8217;re saying.</p>
<p><strong>5. Throw It Back</strong></p>
<p>Through communicating with others it&#8217;s extremely powerful to gather information. By asking great questions you can start to determine what the persons true intentions are who you are communicating with.</p>
<p>One highly effective technique I use on a daily basis is simply repeating questions back to the people I&#8217;m communicating with. For example, if somebody says, &#8220;your product costs too much.&#8221; I would simply say, &#8220;It costs too much?&#8221; Then I would wait for a response. The person will then provide me with more details on WHY they believe it costs too much and help me understand what route the conversation needs to be headed. Instead of having handling their objective immediately, I first gather more information to discover what is the true root cause of their challenge.</p>
<p>When you use this technique right, it&#8217;s extremely powerful to communicate with others on a whole new level.</p>
